Revell Flower Class Corvette

Submitted by Derrick Williams
This is a Revell Flower Class Corvette, originally sold as a static display model, they are relatively easy to modify to radio control. I bought this model already built and ready to run, however it was fitted with an old speed controller, and 40mhz receiver, so I removed these and fitted a new ESC and a 2.4Ghz receiver. I had some motor issues, as it was originally fitted with a 6V Monoperm motor, but this stopped working after taking on water during some rough weather. I then decided to fit something a bit faster, to help during steering competitions, but this burned out on my 2nd run, leaving me stood at the side waiting for my boat to drift to the side. So now I've changed the motor to a 12V 540 motor, and a 40mm 3 blade brass prop. This gives a good scale speed at about half throttle, and a good competitive steering competition speed at full throttle. (An 11.1v lipo pack makes it plane!)
Length, 33.5"
