Deans Marine Open Day 7th-9th September 2012

We had a small stand at Ron Deans factory open day for just the Saturday again this year. Steve Brown, Brian Hart, Robert Mitchell and Paul Millers spent a very enjoyable day, talking to the many visitors most of whom were fellow boaters from as near as Peterborough and as far away as Holland and a few ports in between.

After the Mayhem Sunday was washed out we were left with the Tombola prizes for that day and no revenue, so Nigel Ellis suggested that we might like to take a stall at the Irchester Gala.

Model Boat Mayhem at Wicksteed 2012

June 2nd and 3rd 2012 marked the sixth annual visit to Wicksteed Park by the members of one of the biggest model boat forums, modelboatmayhem.co.uk, and keeping to tradition the ‘vertical mist’ descended on the Sunday, however, this did not stop enjoyment of the event.
