International Model Boat Show 2014.
Once again we had a stand at the International Model Boat Show in Warwickshire and possible the best one so far.
There were five main section that made up the display, The Victorian Fleet at the front of the stand with. at the other end of the stand, kits, boxes and artwork from the 1940's through to the early 1960's with a good selection of authentic restored models from that period.
Opposite that display were a couple of large vessels, a missile cruiser and X1 Submarine that completed what could be call the 'Quirky" side to marine modelling, both being scratch built.
Right in the middle of the stand were the two old timers, Sagitta and Undine both well documented elsewhere on this site.
The rest of the display, possibly one third of the total area was dedicated to what many in our club are renowned for and that's first class kit builders and scratch built models of all persuasions, making a fine offering for the many visitors that came to see us.
The pictures below will be added to as I receive them and Derrick will make a link to the Mayhem forum site where there is more comment and pictures.
The pictures in the first slide show were all taken by John Pates who despite being a little older than myself can still do a full three and a half days on duty on and around the stand.
Paul.
